QuestDeck Privacy Policy

QuestDeck ("the app") sends kids on real-world mini activities (scavenger hunts, physical challenges, creative building), with a parent or guardian confirming completion in person. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with information.

The short version

• QuestDeck does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
• The app works entirely offline — it makes no network or internet connections of any kind.
• There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no way to identify who is using the app.
• The app never accesses the camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, or location.
• There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking software of any kind.

What information is stored, and where

The only information QuestDeck keeps is stored locally on your device, using the operating system's standard app-storage mechanism. It never leaves the device, and QuestDeck's developer never has access to it. This includes:

• Which mission badges have been earned (an internal mission ID, not any personal information).
• A daily-use streak count and the date the app was last opened.
• A short list of missions marked "done" but not yet confirmed by a parent (the mission's title and the time it was submitted).

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of this data. You can also clear it at any time via your device's "Clear app data" / "Clear storage" setting (in your phone's Settings app, under Apps → QuestDeck).

Children's privacy

QuestDeck is built for use by children, with a parent or guardian present to confirm each completed activity in person — no photo or camera step is ever involved. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, child or adult, there is nothing to collect consent for: QuestDeck never asks a child or parent to enter a name, age, email address, photo, or any other personal detail, at any point in the app.

Permissions the app requests

Notifications (Android): used only to keep a "mission in progress" notification visible while background audio plays during a mission's timer. This notification is never used to message or alert you, and no third party ever sees it.

QuestDeck does not request camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, location, or any other device permission.

Third parties

QuestDeck does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software. No data is sent to us or to anyone else, because the app never connects to the internet.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it, and the updated policy will ship with the app and be reflected in-app under Settings → Privacy Policy.
